NACHI model numbers & suffixes
If the suffix is wrong, the bearing may not fit or may not work in your machine. We check clearance, cage and seal codes against your application before you confirm the order.
Why does the suffix on a NACHI bearing matter so much?
The suffix specifies options such as internal clearance, cage type and seals, so two bearings with the same base number can behave differently in service. A misread suffix is a common reason a replacement will not fit or fails early. Send us the full number and we will check it before you order.
Can you confirm the clearance class I need?
Yes. We check the clearance code in your model number against the bearing you are replacing. Clearance is the small amount of internal play between the rings and rolling elements. Include the equipment type, such as a machine tool spindle, pump, reducer or motor, so the clearance matches how the bearing will run.
Do you check cage options before quoting?
Yes. We know the NACHI cage options and check the cage code in your model number. If the quoted model has a different cage from your original bearing, we tell you before you confirm.
How do I make sure I get the right seal or shield version?
Send the complete model number, including every letter after the base number, and we will confirm the seal or shield version with you. If the marking is unclear, a photo of both faces of the bearing helps us identify whether it is open, shielded or sealed.
